The Seventh International Symposium on Arctic Research (ISAR-7) will be held 6-10 March 2023 in Tachikawa, Japan and Online. The call for abstracts is now open and submission deadline is on the 31st October.

Although the rapid warming of the Arctic is widely known, the prediction of the future development of climate and environment is still uncertain. At the same time, resource development and economic activities are rapidly growing. In ISAR-7, solutions from studies of various disciplines to the challenge of a rapidly changing Arctic for building a sustainable society will be discussed.

ISAR-7 will consist of General Sessions and Special Sessions. General Sessions will address the following topics: Atmosphere; Ocean and sea ice; Rivers, lakes, permafrost and snow cover; Ice sheets, glaciers and ice cores; Terrestrial ecosystems; Marine ecosystems;  Geospace; Laws, politics and economy; Language, culture and health; Engineering for sustainable development.

Special Sessions will address cross-cutting themes.
