Work Package 2, the Station Managers’ Forum, has submitted a deliverable report entitled Updated INTERACT Minumum Monitoring Programme. It is available for download below.

Decision-makers require robust assessments to address climate and ecosystem changes, with both remote and ground observations being vital for accuracy. This analysis evaluated how well the INTERACT stations represent the Arctic under current and future climate scenarios, especially after the exclusion of Russian stations due to the Ukraine war. Results indicate a bias in station coverage, which is exacerbated by the removal of Russian stations, potentially exceeding expected climate change impacts by 2100. The findings, published in a top scientific journal, aim to improve observational capacities and support decision-making in climate resilience.
