The 18 th of November is the International day of LGBTQ+ people in STEM and Polar Pride Day is an offshoot of this since the Polar Regions have such a strong focus for science, technology, engineering and maths. Polar Pride Day launched in 2020 with participation from 49 countries with over 2000 tweets, 35 news stories and a global reach of over 12.8 million people!
