The Canadian High Arctic Research Station’s (CHARS) campus, operated by Polar Knowledge Canada, is welcoming applications for available positions:

 President: The President is the Chief Executive Officer of Polar Knowledge Canada and is accountable for its day-to-day management and direction in accordance with the Canadian High Arctic Research Station Act (2014). The President must submit the science and technology plan and annual workplans and budgets to the Board for approval. The President reports to Parliament through the Minister of Northern Affairs.

Chairperson: The Chairperson is responsible for setting the agenda for, and soundly managing, the nine-member Board of Directors of Polar Knowledge Canada. He or she is accountable for ensuring strategic leadership and decision making for Polar Knowledge Canada in accordance with the Canadian High Arctic Research Station Act (2014). The Chairperson reports to Parliament through the Minister of Northern Affairs.

Member: The Members of the Board provide an oversight function including approving the science and technology plan as well as annual workplans and budgets for Polar Knowledge Canada in accordance with the federal Canadian High Arctic Research Station Act (2014).
