The President must submit the science and technology plan and annual workplans and budgets to the Board for approval. The President reports to Parliament through the Minister of Northern Affairs.
Chairperson: The Chairperson is responsible for setting the agenda for, and soundly managing, the nine-member Board of Directors of Polar Knowledge Canada. He or she is accountable for ensuring strategic leadership and decision making for Polar Knowledge Canada in accordance with the Canadian High ArcticDefinitions of the Arctic vary according to environmental, geographical, political, cultural and scientific perspectives.
