Work Package 3 in INTERACT II, Station Managers’ Forum, has produced a delivery report on Research and Monitoring. In this report, INTERACT stations provide information on research activities at their stations, i.e. what disciplines are studied at the station and what variables are monitored on a ‘long-term’ scale. Stations have also provided information about what scientific networks and organisations they contributes to and we describe some of these global intergovernmental organisations, central circumarcticAround or encircling the Arctic, as in the environmental and/or administrative regions that surround the Arctic.... More coordinating organisations, important ArcticDefinitions of the Arctic vary according to environmental, geographical, political, cultural and scientific perspectives. Some scientists define the Arctic as areas having a high latitude, long winters, short, cool summers,... More Council working groups and selected scientific networks with standard protocols or data harmonization. This report can be found under “Resources” on the INTERACT website, along with all the other deliverable reports that have been submitted.
