Christina Pedersen

Pedersen has been employed by Norwegian Polar Institute for almost two decades, now she is a senior advisor in the research department. She has a PhD in snow and snow optics from 2008. Since 2013 she has been the scientific coordinator at Ny-Ålesund Research Station- Sverdrup. NPI have fixed terms positions in Ny-Ålesund, so Pedersen keeps the long lines for the scientific management of Sverdrup. Pedersen is involved with the four Ny-Ålesund research flagship programs and runs the Secretariat for the Ny-Ålesund Science Managers Committee (NySMAC).
